Richard Rainer graduated from Mississippi State University in 1985 with a Bachelor degree in Bank and Finance. In 1988, Rainer started his career in the real estate business as an Associate Vice President at Grubb & Ellis. From 1988 to 1991, he learned the commercial real estate business as a salesman and leasing agent in a depressed real estate environment. Rainer served as President at Mullins Management Company and Don R. Mullins Interests from 1991 to 2005. He created value and increased cash flow of the real estate portfolio for Mullins Interests while securing new real estate investment opportunities.In 2005, Rainer co-founded and formed Excel Commercial Real Estate with Clay McDaniel to conceive, design, and build income producing real estate. In his 32+ years of experience in the real estate industry Rainer has developed comprehensive real estate experience with the acquisition, development and management of a diverse real estate portfolio.

Clay McDaniel graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing. McDaniel started his career in the real estate industry as an Associate at Southwest Residential Partners from 1996 to 2000. He learned the apartment brokerage business as a salesman/agent and created financial models for underwriting sales of apartment communities. He furthered his multi-family real estate experience from 2000 to 2001 at Integra Realty Resources/Legend Realty Partners by underwriting and assisting in the acquisition of apartment properties for redevelopment. From 2001 to 2005, McDaniel served as Vice President at Mullins Management/Don R. Mullins Interests.

In 2005, McDaniel co-founded and formed Excel Commercial Real Estate with Rainer to conceive, design, and build income producing real estate. In his 28+ years of experience in the real estate industry McDaniel has established widespread real estate experience including the acquisition, development and management of a diverse real estate portfolio.

Brooke Lund graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance. Brooke began her career in real estate with Excel Commercial Real Estate in June 2015. She has been part of the development team for multiple new retail, storage, office, manufacture housing, and RV resort projects from conception to completion. She has gained experience in a wide variety of roles within Excel’s diverse real estate portfolio including property management, development, lease management, budgeting and construction.

Elizabeth Seidensticker graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics.  She started her commercial real estate career while in school, working for Henry S. Miller/ Grubb & Ellis as a research analyst.  She then moved to Dallas and worked as an assistant property manager for Trammell Crow Company.  Elizabeth moved with her husband to Virginia in 1996, and she worked as an assistant property manager with a local tidewater company, S.L. Nusbaum Realty, managing the headquarters building for Norfolk Southern Railroad and a major credit card center for Nations Bank, now Bank of America.  This experience landed her a job in the Washington D.C. area with Trammell Crow Company as a Property Manager managing Class A office buildings and industrial properties.  She had the pleasure of working for tenants – Senator Bob Dole and former Texas Governor, Ann Richards.

In 2000, Elizabeth moved back to Houston with her husband to raise their family.  She worked part time at her church, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, volunteered at church, school, and sports teams for her kids as the director of the neighborhood swim team and the treasurer for the local swim league for several years.  Elizabeth managed her own successful professional organization business for 12 years.  Before coming to Excel, she worked as a part time financial assistant with The Antioch Partners, a Christian non-profit organization, for 5 years. Elizabeth brings accounting experience and commercial real estate knowledge to Excel as the Full Charge Bookkeeper.
